I have completed my BA (Hons) in Television Production from the University of Bedfordshire in Luton, United Kingdom. Before going to the UK, I did an internship for 9 months at India's leading television network (NDTV) and familiarised myself with several aspects of producing shows.
Besides Production, I am also interested in writing, editing, anchoring, graphics design, photography and camera. Most of these skills came handy during my latest production known as “Not So Serious?” a half hour comedy pilot. This was conceptualised and produced by me for the final semester project at the University of Bedfordshire UK.
I also got a grip on Digital Effects as part of my 1st semester, Advanced Production Skills module at the University of Bedfordshire.Programmes like Motion and Shake were made easy by my professor and after submitting my final assignment i was rewarded with two A Grades, the highest in the class.
During my first two years at Wigan & Leigh College, India. I understood and polished my fundamentals in all aspects of Media Production including writing, presenting, photography, lighting and camera. As part of my final assignment in my second year i wrote. anchrored and produced a pilot called Loading which deals with all aspects of Gaming.
All of my above mentioned works can be found by clicking on the Show-Reel tab.
I also possess computer skills in Graphics and Editing (Premiere Pro, Flash MX, Photoshop, Vegas & HTML) which have helped me in the presentation of my project work.
Early Years
Formative years were spent at Mirambika, a non formal school based in New Delhi that encouraged creativity and original thought. I loved writing stories and using the camera whenever I had the chance. Memorable stories penned by me are a series, written over a period of three years, about a little Chinese boy called Chang. I discovered my passion for the camera when I was twelve. Using my father’s camcorder, I had made a short “who dunnit” film. It was a one person show and I enjoyed the various caps I had to wear. After the scripting, came the acting... I had to do two different roles, each identifiable by different coloured jackets and voice modulation. To complete the picture, as though it was being aired on television, I even acted out a couple of ads. I have always had a sharp sense of humour, which finally bloomed in my latest work “Not so Serious”
